Tina Gayle Wagner
Studio Manager, Stott Pilates and Bellydance Technique
Tina Gayle spent over half her life as a dedicated movement nerd. Although her education was somewhat untraditional, which is not surprising for her character, her unwavering intrigue and devotion is as sincere as it gets. Dance and movement has always been something Tina gravitated towards, but didn’t actually have the opportunity to study it until she was out of college. As a young adult she studied Ballet and Modern, and various styles of Middle Eastern Dance. As she matured she became interested in Fitness and progressed into becoming a student of Contemporary and Jazz.
Tina Gayle is an award winning dancer in Raqs Sharqi and Fusion. She won multiple awards in the Hamilton International Bellydance Competition in 2020; and placed in the Tokyo International Bellydance Competition in 2020 as well. Tina is known for her versatility as a performer. She has performed with three different professional dance troupes throughout the past 20 plus years. Even during the pandemic she continues to perform online for various international dance productions. For many years Tina worked with a world renowned mentor dissecting the anatomy dance movement; and she received a Middle Eastern Dance Teacher Training Certification in 2016. In 2019 she was offered a year-long scholarship by Votive Dance for the "The Jazz Dance Initiative" in Halifax. Tina has also produced online courses in Raqs Sharqi and Fusion; and during the pandemic Tina created "The Bellydance Scholarship Program". This program awards free dance training for students all over the world. Tina believes that the movement learned in these courses, especially the beginner level, is extremely therapeutic to the body.
As part of her continued education and love of body mechanics Tina also dove into fitness. In 2008 she received a BellyFit Instructor Training Certification, in 2010 a Fitness theory and Group Choreography / Fitness leader Certification, and she has a certificate of completion for the STOTT Pilates Intensive Mat Program! Tina believes that the right movement can heal, rejuvenate and create longevity in one's life. Her goal with Fusion Health Spa’s Fitness Studio is to create a place for all levels and all ages to use movement as part of a healthy and active lifestyle. A safe place to start from where you are, free from judgement. Clients can concentrate on getting stronger, becoming more flexible, recovering from injury, or even start from the beginning no matter the age. The goal is to create a place that has multidisciplinary classes so clients can cross train and target areas that need attention.
Tina has always been praised by her instructors for her intuitive understanding of body mechanics; and by her students for her patients and gentle nature. She is thorough and has an easy to understand delivery. Tina is as genuine as they get!
