Certified Personal Trainer
Throughout the years of working within the school system, Leanne felt it was necessary to branch out and share her passion, wealth of knowledge and expertise in fitness, exercise, and health with others. Leanne grew up physically active as an athlete, playing competitive sports and traveling internationally to play soccer in the masters. As a high level athlete, Leanne understood the value and necessity of keeping her mind and body healthy and strong. Beyond athletic training, Leanne learned early on that taking care of ones body was the foundation of living an energetic, optimistic, and pain free life. As such, it was only natural that Leanne knew she wanted to help others improve their own health starting from where they were currently at. As qualification, safety and trust are vital when working within the health and fitness profession, Leanne formalized her desire to help others and become a personal trainer through internationally recognized and respected certifications in 2005.
Since then, Leanne has been personally training people from all walks of life, including professional athletes, business professionals, families, those with physical and mental disabilities, and children. For the past 10 years Leanne has also been a leader in creating and teaching group fitness classes.
Leanne thrives on learning new skills and techniques as well as adding to her proficiency through partaking in health/fitness education and certifications whenever possible. She loves teaching TRX, bootcamps, circuit, HIIT, interval and strength classes. Functional training, however, is a key priority underpinning Leanne’s approach regardless of what she is teaching, as properly moving through exercise movements greatly reduces injuries while helping to improve daily health, function and the ability to participate in the things that make you happy.
In her spare time Leanne loves to workout, enjoy outdoor adventure, travel, and spend time with her family.
